Out first big adventure at the Steinwasser Park...

Hello family and friends -
We had a busy day today - Saturday August 13th. We started the day with a big helping of pancakes and then went to the grocery store (we made the mistake last week as EVERYTHING is closed on Sunday) in the a.m. and by 11 a.m. we were on the road to Oberried for our first adventure to a Germany Park. If you click on the picture below for Steinwasser Park you will see some great pictures from this water/ playground/ animal park. The kids had a great time and so did their parents.
All is well - Nancy will make her first trip to Northern Germany this week for an HR meeting in Kiel Germany and Brad is planning a fun trip to the zoo in Freiburg while she is gone.
Life continues to be really super - it is hard to believe that it has only been 2 weeks (last Wednesday). The kiddies will start school soon 2 1/2 weeks -- not that Brad is counting....
Abby will celebrate her 3rd birthday here on September 26th with a cupcake party and our first visitors arrive at the end of September (Meme and Poppy) so that will be great. We have some high hopes to see quite a few cities in Europe. The Pope comes to Freiburg in September so that is a huge deal and the city is supposed to be packed.
Our upcoming plans include the Basel Zoo in Switzerland - the Monkey Park and Famous Castle (name?? when we go I will add it to the Blog -- good incentive to go...) in France and most important the Skyline Trip to see all of Freiburg. We are falling in love with this city one day at a time...
The lack of German language still presents problems now and again -- luckily most people are very nice. Brad was yelled at by a Tram driver so that was a right of passage that was bound to happen.... Nancy has started her German lessons and it is going ok - it can be hard to teach an "almost old" dog new tricks.
Love to all,
Brad and Nancy (Brody and Abby too :))
